Dear Renosky Lures,
I purchased a pack of your Super Shad Glo
Minnows with the thought of using them to catch sand bass
and maybe a hybrid striper if I was lucky. On the night
of February 25, 2001 at around 8:30, I made one cast toward
a light over the water and made the catch of a lifetime.
The fish is a 37-inch-long, 30-lb. flathead catfish that took
the minnow the second it hit the water. The fish immediately
headed for deeper water and fought for about fifteen minutes
before coming back and swimming under the pier I was on.
He proceeded to wrap around the posts supporting the pier
and coming loose three different times. Finally, after
about thirty minutes, I was able to net the fish. Ive
heard of people catching fish like this on small tackle, but
this is the first for me. The rod and reel was brand
new and this was the first fish on the minnow. This
was also the only fish I caught that day. I thought
you might like to know how effective the Super Shad Glo minnow
proved to be for me.
Thanks,
James R. Pruett, Jacksonville, TX
